The food and the bath were good, but the smell was very strong.

“また来たいです。”

The food was excellent – sushi served in a bucket, tiny seafood bowls and many other dishes were on offer, so many that I couldn’t try them all, and although many staff members were foreign, they spoke Japanese fluently, were friendly and put me in a good mood. The dining hall, baths and rooms are in separate buildings, so you have to go outside to get between them, and when it rains the slippers on the wet exterior become very slippery, making walking a hassle.

The price was reasonable for what I got, but it felt a bit old‑fashioned.

The location was decent and the food was fairly tasty, and the staff were generally helpful though their service varied, which I could tell from experience. The building felt old and the shower room was dirty.

The onsen, meals, and overall cleanliness left a good impression; the hot spring was a clear, colour‑less chloride water flowing straight from the source and felt great, while the buffet offered tasty dishes, with the steak served hot off the grill and the salads and fried items also delicious, so varied that I ended up overeating. The view from the room window was only bamboo thicket and sky, the sea could be seen only after leaving the property, and getting to the restaurant or large bath meant walking in the rain—there was no covered path, and although umbrellas seemed to be available, it felt like nothing could be done; it would have been nice to have a garden area with some flowers.
