The hotel is close to the train station and the city centre, and the interiors are interesting for New York lovers.

The hotel’s location is near the centre, relatively quiet despite the railway, and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel felt a bit dated from the 1990s. Right after entering, the interior seemed shabby, which didn’t make a good impression—especially for a smoker. The description mentioned a balcony, but our room didn’t have one. I didn’t consider the French window a balcony until later, but since we stayed only one night, I didn’t address it. We were only provided one bed, even though two people were accommodated. The reception resolved the issue quickly. The shower area is still memorable, the worn bathtub deserves replacement, as does the worn carpet in the room. In the evening we left the room, locked it, and… I still had the key in my hand. I reported it at reception, and the problem was fixed upon return. The next morning, the keys were stuck in the lock and couldn’t be taken out. Breakfast was in a space that used to be a bar, again with a stale smell. I don’t usually eat breakfast, but I wanted something to drink besides water and something that looked like Kofola. I ended up choosing water and coffee instead.

“Příště opět pojedu do tohoto hotelu...”

The rooms were clean and spacious, with regular housekeeping, a great shower, nice amenities, plenty of sockets, and enough space for work and relaxation; the overall environment and staff attitude were perfect. The only drawbacks were: no elevator, so it’s unsuitable for people with mobility issues; no air conditioning, so it’s not great on super‑tropical days; and the breakfast stayed the same each day, though the helpful staff could arrange what you’d like for the next day.
