“Wonderful and fascinating stay ... it will be our first choice if we're ever in the area again.”
Breakfast was lovely, and the setting was beautiful; it was a full spread with plenty of fresh fruit that was nicely presented. We had a chat with one of the owners, a former newspaper managing editor, who was very knowledgeable about local history, which is significant. The room size and furnishings were impressive, showing delightful taste and creativity. Every room—and even the closets—was named after a U.S. president who had visited Ogdensburg. It was one of the most unique and interesting accommodations we’ve ever experienced worldwide. Our only minor concern was the temperature control in the room; because it’s an older building, a former elementary school with large rooms, the central heating wasn’t easily controlled in individual rooms. Still, we slept very comfortably and weren’t too warm.
