The location was great, the room offered privacy and a hot shower, and the large lockers in the rooms were handy. However, the common area had no air‑conditioning, it was scorching, and I couldn’t focus on work; the showers and bathrooms were located above the pizzeria kitchen.

The room was decent, and there’s a kitchen/living area where you can sit, have coffee, or relax. The spot is convenient, close to the ferry and attractions. The walls are paper‑thin, so a noisy neighbour’s sounds leak through, and at night I heard odd noises—something like a bird—from the adjacent room.

This place surpassed my expectations: everything was spotless, and with only 10 pods it never felt crowded. Remember you booked a POD—it’s small, but it’s adequate. It’s ideal for solo travelers, and my private walk‑in room was a welcome break from dorms. The room was cozy, practical, and comfortable, and a quality towel was provided. They cleverly fitted a closet with foldable hangers and a bedside table with a lamp. The shared bathrooms were excellent and always clean. Air‑conditioning sits in the corridor, and an extractor fan channels it into the room; there’s also a regular fan. Air quality is good, and any rain that falls during the day dries overnight. The common lounge was pleasant, featuring a free hot‑and‑cold water dispenser, a fridge, and a microwave. The downstairs pizza restaurant was superb. All the information was accurate. Wi‑Fi was excellent, and the location is just a few minutes’ walk from the ferry and bus station. The staff spoke English and were friendly. Nothing I didn’t like.

I spent several nights at Victoria Pods while touring George Town and found it to be a solid budget option. The spot is fantastic—walking distance to Little India, street art, hawker stalls, and the ferry. The pods were comfortable and reasonably quiet for a hostel vibe, and I slept well. Bathrooms and common areas were clean, and the place felt organized. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you’re after affordable lodging in a very central spot, this is a reliable pick.
