Life on the island is very primitive. Staff is very sleepy and not very active. But the island is very beautiful and the islanders very friendly. Lacks basic necessities like running water and electricity and a bin for garbage.

The view over the sea is lovely and you can rent snorkeling gear right there; we paid 400 pesos for two people to get fins, masks, and a snorkel. The balcony is truly charming and adds a little flair to the place. Breakfast doesn’t include any drinks except instant coffee. There’s no electricity except between 18:40 and 21:00, so expect very hot nights because you can’t plug in the fan in the room. The owners are quite loud in the mornings.

The food is good, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the location is nice near the beach. We booked a Budget room because it was the only one left, and it was really simple. Personally it felt too basic, but for my travel companion it was perfect, so it depends on how luxurious you want it to be. The owner was very nice and always helped us and organized everything we needed, like a boat for our departure. The sheets and towels were clean and smelled good. On the downside, the Budget room had a bathroom but no running water or toilet paper/ bucket. Luckily there were two other toilets next door with a working shower. A trash bin in each room would also be nice. As we had a Budget room, that’s all I can judge from that perspective. The regular rooms looked pretty good (at least the ones we saw).
