The location and room amenities were good, but it was very hot and there was no air‑conditioning; the rooms were already heated on arrival, so cooling was impossible.

I stayed on a hilltop with a balcony that offered a stunning view, and I was able to check in very late, which was great. The breakfast spread was extensive and met all my expectations. However, the lift was turned off at 22:00 for energy saving, so the next morning only one very competent lady had to handle both the breakfast service and the reception, which was a bit too much for her.

“Hier ist noch seeehr viel Luft nach oben!”

The quiet location is nice and the Wi‑Fi works now. It feels like the hotel is cutting costs more and more: from 16:00 the reception closes and no staff are on the premises. At the desk you find sheets with guests’ personal data and room keys that anyone can see. During a power outage in the evening the emergency number still doesn’t work. The hotel’s surroundings are neglected, and on the terrace behind the breakfast room a canopy could fall at any time, posing a danger. TV reception is still poor. The only bright spot was the friendly breakfast staff.

The calm, the size of the room, and the outside view were positives. Unfortunately a hot‑water outage left me without a nice shower after a hot day, and the restaurant was closed when I checked in, forcing me to drive back to SARRELOUIS for dinner.

“Deserted hotel!”

The location was quiet, but there was no staff present upon arrival; the hotel seemed deserted. I didn’t see any employees until the next morning when we left.
