The front desk lady was friendly and helpful, but the room itself was in poor condition with mould on the walls and ceiling—unhealthy to sleep in. The shower and toilet area were cramped, there were no towels, and the door lock was hard to operate.

The staff are nice, especially Tien who is very helpful with any issues. The area in Chinatown feels more local than the tourist spots. The room is good for the price and offers plenty of privacy, so it doesn’t feel like a typical homestay.

This place is lovely and I enjoyed my time there. The locals nearby are friendly—just say “Hi” and smile. Good coffee, bánh mì, and phở bò are super close, and there’s a nice vegetarian restaurant about a 2‑minute walk. A large market is about a 10‑minute walk away. The beds are comfortable, water pressure is good, and the AC and fan work great, so it checked all the boxes for me. It’s a quiet area, so if you want nightlife you’ll need to take a Grab. It’s not a new place, but it is comfortable.
