What went well: the treehouses were nicely equipped and clean, and everything you need was there. A mosquito net over the bed might have been nice because the flies were pretty annoying, though we didn't actually have any mosquito problems. One evening we lit a campfire and it was lovely. What didn't go well: the noise! The treehouses sit in the woods, but right next to a heavily trafficked road. From early morning until evening, a lot of trucks haul heavy loads up the mountain, making a lot of noise, and at night you never know how many vehicles will pass. One night it was very busy, the other only occasional scooters. We booked two nights and were relieved when we could leave, because we were exhausted. Especially for late‑risers we recommend against staying, as early morning sleep becomes nearly impossible. Oropax are available, but they only help a bit. Bottom line: the treehouses are pretty, but the noise kills the whole idyllic treehouse vibe. Not being able to sleep ruins the entire experience. We strongly advise against booking.

A sweet, cozy cabin.

A beautiful cabin that lets you connect with nature; the window view is amazing, showing part of the lake, Mount Abang, and a little Agung behind. A large convenience store is a 10‑minute walk away. The staff are friendly and always helpful, whether you need directions or want them to buy food for you. The fly problem is a Kintamani feature, so mentally prepare or wear long sleeves to avoid them stopping on you. The stairs are steep (even the room to the private bathroom downstairs), so you’re always afraid of falling and it requires physical fitness. The busy road right next to the cabin is noisy all the time, only quiet probably between 3 am and 5 am. Because it’s made of wood, it shakes when people walk.

Amazing view, helpful and friendly staff, and a comfortable bed. Breakfast needs improvements.
