“Perfect place to stay to experience Sicilian hospitality, comfort and history”
Wow! Absolutely amazing stay in every way. We felt true Sicilian hospitality from the moment we arrived. You’re staying in an incredible historic building in an ancient city but the rooms are beautifully modernized and clean, nice shower with hot water / good pressure, a desk, comfortable bed and linens, then step on to the balcony or look out to the courtyard like you’re in another era. From tourism and restaurant recommendations, so many local delicacies, fruits, and options at breakfast, and freshly made cappuccino, the hosts went above and beyond. The location is amazing to walk historic streets to the historic sites and water view areas. We felt very safe in this historic city and recommend you make a stop here to experience a place where Sicilians are still living, going to church, sitting at cafes. P.S. Don’t miss driving up to Sambuca for a walk. We were there on a Sunday / mid afternoon and almost everything was closed which was cool in it added to the feeling of stepping into another time, however just bear that in mind if you want to have something to eat. There are also amazing wines from this region
