“Never again.”
I could not enjoy the property. After having paid for the most expensive room available, I was left outside right from day 1. I was provided 2 phone numbers to contact upon arrival, in order o get the keys to the room when I would arrive after reception closing time. There were 3 more phone numbers written on the door of the reception. 3 phones were switched off, one was the fixed phone inside the reception and the 5th phone number was only 7 digits long so it was invalid. As a consequence I stayed on the street outside the room I had paid for, with my wife and kids. I had informed I would arrive after reception closing time and the manager acknowledged and provided the instructions above but nobody was responsible enough or committed enough to keep their phone on. Eventually I had to go search for an alternative place, staying at another hotel and reaching bed at 02:30am. There are almost no hotels open 24/7 in the area so it was not easy to find a substitute. Be warned
A very atmospheric place (after all it’s a castle) with friendly and helpful staff. The food, not just the breakfasts, was very good. The location is great for those who have their own transport, because within a short distance from the hotel there are worthwhile places to visit and see. I recommend it!

A very good location, good kitchen, the possibility to visit the castle included in the accommodation price. The bathroom’s peak times could have been better when the whole castle was busy.

A dreamy accommodation in the old castle, beautifully and very individually decorated. The breakfast in the castle courtyard is especially lovely. The restaurant is very good, with friendly staff. Everything was perfect for us, but you have to be ready to walk on cobblestones!
