Staying at the same hotel as the conference venue was great; the facilities and size were just right, and the location puts you within walking distance of the Peace Memorial Hall and the Atomic Bomb Dome, with a high‑speed ferry from the dome to Miyajima, making a trip there easy. The only downside was that there were no momiji manju.

The hotel sits near the city’s main commercial streets and is a 15‑minute walk from the station and the castle. The room is small but tidy. The continental breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of both Western and Asian dishes, sweet and savory, and was highly appreciated. Finally, you can refill various drinks for free.

I stayed in the same building as the concert venue, and although the interior is connected, security made me step outside for a moment. I couldn't tell whether the people in the lobby were hotel guests or concert attendees, but there were a lot of them.

I appreciated being able to reach the event venue without getting wet in the rain. On the downside, I tend to feel hot, so a cooler environment would have been nicer.
