I loved my stay here and extended several times. The room is a good size, simple but very clean, with hot water and excellent wifi. The location is exceptional, right next to several popular restaurants, around the corner from the supermarket and very close to the beach. It is central yet still quiet. It is a great place for short stays but also for longer stays, with a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor tables to work in the shade. Nothing

The location is excellent. It’s very close to Cargills and many famous restaurants, yet tucked away from the chaos of the main road.Lankitha and his father were incredibly helpful with every request, question, and suggestion. Additionally, the kitchen has a water purifier, which saves us money and the hassle of buying bottled water everyday. I could do exercises also in the garden. Silent hours (after 22:00) can be a good idea for the shared living room. When turned around on the bed it sometimes makes noise

Very nice and cozy place! The room was clean and comfortable, everything worked well. The host was super friendly and helpful. Location very good, near everything! As a solo traveller I felt very safe there

Kalan was a delightful property in a superb location. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with a minimalist, contemporary feel. The kitchen was a useful, tidy space.as was the outside seating area in a pretty garden. The hotel was right next door to the iconic Shady Lane Cafe, which was extremely useful for breakfast/ brunch. It was a short walk to the main road and beach with plenty of excellent restaurants nearby yet it was very peacefully situated. The host was present and attentive. He addressed issues quickly. We had a few niggles with the plumbing and bed linen initially, but they were quickly solved
