1 double bed
“Has massive potential if upgraded.”
The shower was hot and the location was good; the room was cleaned daily, it’s within walking distance to town, and there is on‑site parking. The place has solid fundamentals and, with a bit of refurbishment and investment, could be a real hit. As it stands, it’s passable and functional. The pool was dirty so we couldn’t use it, and it seemed full each night, which suggests good customer traffic.
“The Lodge Outback Motel is a clean, comfortable and central location”
The hotel was spotless, cozy, and well arranged, and it sits right in the center, a short walk from the main business area, with on‑site parking available.
“Would not recommend”
The location was great, the cleaner was helpful, and the room had every feature listed, though the sign said it had Austar and there was none. The door to the shower and toilet was very narrow, the kitchen bench didn’t provide enough space to butter toast, the kettle was dirty, and I found a nose ring on the floor within an hour of checking in. Visible black mould appeared on the bathroom walls, and every light bulb was a different shade. The bed and pillows were old and stiff, so we didn’t sleep well all week; we had to unplug the lamps just to charge our phones and laptops by the bed. The receptionist was short, abrupt, and unfriendly, which was surprising given her profession.
The bed was very comfortable, but the room had the basics and badly needs a makeover. The price was right for the facility.
The shower area felt a bit tight, but the shower itself worked well.
