The gym feels more like a bedroom with a couple of elliptical machines and exercise bikes :-(; the building is nice, but the hotel itself is pretty basic.

The spot is great: there are good restaurants, even Western-style ones (or rather, their interpretations), cafés, shops, cultural venues, and plenty of places to stroll. No worries about safety—security is in a nearby building ;) The room is set up exactly like the one in the Marriott that’s about one and a half times pricier (you could even stay there), same marble, but the Marriott differs mainly by lacking weighing scales and a comparison board (everything else, like laundry, is free and self‑service on the same floor), a second TV in the bathroom (there was only a shower), and a radio. The fridge was empty (sometimes it’s jammed with unnecessary bottles, etc.), and daily bottled water was supplied. The mattress is solid, the bed isn’t too short for my 1.9 m height, and there were two different pillows (the viscoelastic one is fantastic). The power outlets work with our C‑type plugs. I didn’t like that the air‑conditioner temperature couldn’t be changed (by the way, the Marriott next door is the same); the TV only shows Chinese propaganda and no international channels; breakfast, which isn’t included in the room price, only offers Chinese dishes; and when the wind blew, something outside the window was rattling.

“Hotel ok,”

The hotel is clean and nice. Sometimes the elevators took 5–10 minutes to arrive. The breakfast is awful; it really isn’t worth a single cent.
