“Definitely recommend Stepping Stones as it's a lovely place to stay, near to local amenities.”

The whole stay at Stepping Stones was great, from arrival to leaving. Julie, our host, made us feel really welcome by arranging a free parking permit and offering to bring us tea or coffee to the room while we settled in. The room itself was lovely and had a full range of teas and coffees (and biscuits!). Julie gave us loads of useful information about the local area and places to eat too. Breakfast was good… so much choice and it tasted great. I hope to return and stay longer next time. Nothing at all to dislike about Stepping Stones.

The place sits right in the middle of town, the room was spot‑on with everything we needed, and the breakfast was both great and plentiful. Nothing else to add.

The house was surprisingly roomy, with a lovely river view from the back, and the location made it easy to reach Morpeth centre and the bus stations; breakfast was fantastic and the bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. Julie, the host, was warm and helpful, offering tea and biscuits on arrival and sorting parking for us with guest tokens. The town’s parking scheme is a bit confusing, though.

The breakfast was excellent. Loads of choice. I prefer a simple breakfast and that was catered for very well. Julie accommodated our needs very well. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Our room was overlooking the street, which had quite a bit of traffic. The noise kept me awake when I needed to rest. However, I am elderly and a more active younger person might not have been bothered by this. We were shown a lovely peaceful room at the back of the house, overlooking the river. I would definitely try to book that next time
