Cezayir Rooms

The location is ideal: away from the main arteries yet close to everything. The place is atypical, full of charm, and truly out of the ordinary. The rooms are spacious, with high ceilings that give them a lot of character. The area is also very calm during the day, which is especially appreciated. At night, the neighborhood gets livelier with bars and evening events, which can cause a bit of noise. That said, after a busy day, nothing really keeps you from sleeping ;)

“One of the best places I've stayed!”

I’m staying in the best part of Istanbul! The hotel is amazing! Volkan made me feel so welcome! This is by far one of the best cities/areas I've stayed in. There is no breakfast, but that’s not a problem because it makes you want to go out and explore. It’s such a vibrant city and this location is the best. I didn’t know there were so many hills to climb, but it’s worth it!

Staying here put me right in the heart of Istanbul’s buzz while still feeling safe, even when I walked back late at night because the neighborhood stayed lively with plenty of places to eat, drink and grab coffee in the morning—though it isn’t the cheapest, the nearest cafeterias and canteens are close enough; my window faced a noisy street but solid frames kept most of the sound out, so light sleepers might want earplugs; the building itself impressed with a grand lobby, stairwell, high ceilings and airy feel, and the room was flooded with light from a huge window, had air‑conditioning, a fridge and was clean, with friendly staff who brought extra water when I asked and a water cooler on the floor; the only downside was the fridge rattling occasionally, which didn’t bother me much but could be a problem for some, and it can probably be switched off.

“Great stay in an old Istanbul building”

The spacious room with its massive windows. It's very old, but with modern amenities, making it quite charming. The air condition is great. The bathroom is also quite good. The whole room was very clean when we arrived. The location is excellent for that part of Istanbul, everything is close by. The noise is one of the bigger issues. There are bars all around and it gets quite noisy on the weekend, although closed windows are helpful. The building is old so there's no elevator, which can be problematic for some, but you get used to it
