The room was gorgeous, the spa area was fantastic, and the Friday breakfast was amazing, but the Saturday service slipped. Dinner was delicious, with both meat and excellent fish dishes. The guest card was great, giving access to buses, the funicular, and more. Dinner costs 39 € if you haven’t booked half‑board. On the weekend you notice the food quality drops and the staff—both at the reception and the restaurant—feel unfriendly and annoyed.

“Sehr gut und ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit Bergpanorama”

The rooms felt cozy and tastefully decorated, and the whole hotel had a harmonious vibe with a mix of old and new furnishings. The bar was well-stocked, and it was nice to sit there in the evenings on various seating options. The breakfast area was also lovely, offering spots in the greenhouse, the “Holzecke,” or the remaining space. The fruit at breakfast was a bit bland.

Het hotel is zeer rustig gelegen aan de Badersee, dicht bij de Eibsee en de kabelbaan naar de Zugspitze. We hadden een mooie kamer. Het ontbijtbuffet biedt veel keuze! Ook het avondmaal is volledig in buffetvorm. Alles wordt vlot aangevuld. Bij mooi weer kun je zowel 's ochtends als 's avonds buiten op het terras eten. De wandeling door de Höllentalklamm vonden wij het hoogtepunt van ons 4-daags verblijf maar er zijn daar nog veel mooie wandelingen!. Eén minpuntje waar het hotel voor toekomstige gasten misschien kan voor bemiddelen. Het vertrekuur van de bus naar Hammersbach (waar de Höllentalklamm begint) was te laat als je tot aan de Höllentalangerhütte wil wandelen . Om (hoge) parkeerkosten te vermijden deden wij dit ook te voet. ( = 45' extra)

Excellent location, very quiet, good value. There was no instant coffee in the room, and I didn’t receive a complimentary gift for my birthday ☹️.
