This place is truly magnificent and I strongly recommend it for anyone seeking something beyond the ordinary; staying here lets you step away from the daily rush, the long walks, and enjoy a quiet moment in a beautifully preserved historic temple. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, with well-prepared, high‑quality dishes. Special thanks to the staff, who were always friendly and helpful, even speaking English to make sure everything was clear. It was a genuinely special and unforgettable experience.

The property was gorgeous and impeccably maintained, but the futon was uncomfortable and the early bedtime schedule was inconvenient.

The calm, garden view, and spotless room for four were great, but the ceremony felt a bit short with only one monk, and the meals weren’t suitable for children.

The temple was stunning, meticulously clean, with flawless service and highly attentive staff. The stay lets you engage with Buddhist tradition through evocative experiences like the morning prayer; the traditional Japanese baths and excellent food were also very enjoyable. From the ceremonies to the visit to Koyasan’s cemetery, it was an authentic experience and one of the highlights of our trip to Japan.
