Located 7 minutes from Mackay town center, Tropic Coast Motel features free WiFi, an outdoor saltwater pool, playground, and truck/trailer parking. Air-conditioned rooms have flat-screen smart TVs with streaming services. The motel is 7 minutes from Mackay train station and 10 minutes from Mackay Airport, with free parking, a spa plunge pool, BBQ facilities, and a guest laundry available for a fee.

I found it quite good and the shower had great water pressure. The bed was comfortable. Parking was right out front. I would stay here again just to use the shower. The cold water tap had very bad hammering, it was very clean until you look at the bathroom mirror and the bathroom sink hardware needs a very good clean. We were cold overnight as we only had a sheet and there was no blanket anywhere in the room.
