The bike storage was good, with plenty of power outlets.

Breakfast was fantastic. The bathroom was tiny. Reception was very friendly. Dinner disappointed me; the tables were crooked, which made it uncomfortable.

Great location, nice lobby and room, super friendly staff, and the breakfast was delicious. Nothing to complain about.

We stayed two nights. The hotel’s location in the village was fairy‑tale like and the parking lot was easily accessible. The room was spacious. A short walk from the hotel is the very good and busy restaurant Caveau Morakopf; it’s best to book in advance. The breakfast was very bad. Despite the new owners (Celine, a higher hotel school graduate, and Lukas, a chef with a good reputation) having experience with the neighboring restaurant Caveau Morakopf, there was not enough bread for the guests in the morning. We sat in the breakfast hall for half an hour and saw no host. After half an hour a staff member came who was very unfriendly and only returned clean plates. Dirty plates stayed on the table. It ruined our holiday mood. There were poorly looking sausages reheated with bubbles on them and the scrambled eggs were made from powdered mix. No cooked eggs could be ordered. There was rotten, shriveled fruit on a tray (brown banana!). When I asked Celine, the owner, if bread could be fetched she unfortunately said no. We had to settle for yogurt and a few hard baguette pieces that were not fresh. There was no teapot available. We saw Lukas in the kitchen and, given his big reputation as a chef, we expected him to provide the items we asked for at breakfast: bread, teapot, cooked eggs. Unfortunately, nothing was done for us. At checkout I made these breakfast complaints clear to Celine. You expect someone with hotel experience who manages staff to leave with a somewhat satisfying feeling from this hotel. The only thing we got was the full bill. A credit for a bottle of wine would have been at least a gesture. We will not return, and if you want to book here, know what to expect. German is not spoken, only French, and Celine is the only one who speaks English. The room was on the second floor. On Friday evening we ate at the hotel restaurant in the evening; that restaurant is not part of the hotel and you have to pay separately. These dishes were also very sparse with no side dishes.

We’re used to staying at hotels in Colmar and Turckheim, so we decided to try Hôtel de l'Ange instead. Even though we booked a single room, the space was enough for us, though the bathroom was quite small but had all the necessary equipment. The parking is large and easy to access, and the breakfast is a must‑try – hearty, varied, local, and more. Prices vary, so check the offers on different platforms and compare them with the hotel’s own site. The village itself is charming, right at the foot of the vineyards.
