The house sits directly on the Kammweg and the castle is right outside the door—so you can start hiking straight away. The owners are very friendly and shared a lot about the history and surroundings. Breakfast is very good. Many hikers and cyclists use it as a stop on their tours. Everything was fine.

Even though the restaurant was closed for a day, we as hotel guests were offered a dinner from a small but fine menu, which we gladly accepted!

When one of our companions had a medical emergency, the owners were immediately on hand, set everything aside, and helped us wherever they could.
