The staff were very friendly and the food and service were great, but some facilities were unavailable because of the hurricane. It was still a nice place and I’d come back. However, not all facilities were working, and at night the area was very dark with sketchy lighting on the driveway, and stray dogs chased me.

This mountain getaway was quiet, peaceful, and simple, and the staff Jason and Denise went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable and even made my birthday special. Breakfast and dinners were tasty, especially the curried goat, brown stewed fish, and other local dishes they prepared. The location was lovely, with a beautiful river on the property surrounded by plenty of flora, fauna, and birds chirping. I’m still getting used to the cold showers in the mountains, and I haven’t tested whether warm or hot water is available yet.

The facilities and amenities were well appointed and the food was great, even though renovations are still underway after Hurricane Melissa. The property is scenic and tranquil. With more time and resources, some small maintenance upgrades could fine‑tune the infrastructure.

Serendipity turned out to be a very relaxing and quiet place in a good location with amazing staff, and the food was delicious. Nothing to add.
