It’s set inside a garden by the river, peaceful with many birds and butterflies. If you want a quick escape from Chiang Mai, this is the spot. You can follow the road along the river all the way out of town, with farmland and nice scenery. Wiang Tha Kan is nearby if you have a scooter, and if you enjoy exploring old ruins, it’s definitely worth a visit. Because of the garden setting, when we went at the start of the rainy season there were quite a few mosquitoes outside. The owner’s son kindly arranged a mosquito net for us, and as long as we covered up, we were happy sitting outside enjoying the garden.
