I noticed there was no foot‑wipe mat or towel, and the kitchen lacked basic utensils—there was a frying pan but no chopsticks or spatula. The TV was missing, and when I walked in, the tatami had hair on it. The front door was locked and I had to wait for someone to unlock it. I wish the manager had a phone to call for help.

The property is very clean and has every amenity we needed, plus a free shuttle to and from the airport. The owner was friendly and punctual. However, it’s a long way from the airport with no shops or restaurants nearby, and the exterior doesn’t look very tidy.

The shower pressure was terrible, taking over five minutes for hot water to start, and there was no TV. The building looked like a derelict love hotel unchanged.

When I first saw the exterior, I was taken aback—it reminded me of a Motel 6. But after checking in, I felt much better: the room was spacious and clean. The address listed on the front page is wrong; getting there by train and bus takes about 40 minutes, whereas an Uber takes only 13 minutes.
