The bed was really comfortable, with quality pillows, mattress, and sheets. I had an interior‑facing room, so the view was onto the central concrete void; trees in pots at the bottom of the concrete walls felt a bit depressing. If the property can’t afford landscaping, some nice graffiti art on the concrete walls might improve the experience.

The location was fantastic—just a short walk from Southern Cross Station where the airport bus stops, and close to the NGV, South Bank, shopping, and the restaurants on Flinders Lane. The staff were friendly, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. I was able to check in early. The only downside was that the courtyard view from my room wasn’t nice to look at.

I stayed at Indigo Flinders for two nights on my second visit, and the staff were great while the room was super quiet and exceptionally clean, which made me really happy. The room‑service menu was a bit limited, but the service was fast. I couldn’t lower the room temperature below the standard 22 °C, so I had to double up the duvet as a solo traveller. The next day I asked for towels, blankets, and coffee (no room‑service needed) and they arrived promptly. The only issue was an overwhelming odor coming from the bathroom drains; I shut the shower and bathroom doors and felt uneasy. Check‑in and check‑out were exceptional. Overall it’s a wonderful hotel; I think it was just a plumbing mishap that day.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are amazing, and it's only a five‑minute walk to the train station.
