I stayed at a simple, dog‑friendly motel‑style place in the most wonderful spot, and the deck view was divine. The multicoloured highland cows and ewes with lambs were right next to the rooms, and two friendly dogs even visited us. Warm showers, comfy beds, and a fully equipped kitchen made it cozy, and Jo was really friendly, telling us about the walk to the creek at the bottom of the property. It’s very close to Candelo, so we popped into the market, and we’ll definitely return! The only teeny suggestion is that there’s a great coffee pod maker, but a coffee plunger would be a great addition if you like coffee (I brought my own as well).

The location was peaceful and close to everything, and the cows were a nice touch. The only downside was that you can hear other people in the other rooms if they aren’t quiet.

The private farm location was wonderful, check‑in was easy, communication with the host was great, and the surroundings were beautiful.
