A great deal, super quiet and peaceful, far from crowds and traffic, though you’ll need a scooter to get around the area.

The location is extremely quiet, surrounded by nature, with monkeys visible right from the balcony and birdsong in the morning and day. The view of the sea and Bali at night is gorgeous, and the starry sky is amazing; there’s no street noise because it’s at the end of a cul‑de‑sac. The highlight is definitely the pleasantly shaded and often breezy balcony and garden. The rooms are simple but the bed is very comfortable, the air‑conditioning works well, and the hot shower is great. A 10‑minute walk leads to a wide selection of restaurants, and a 25‑minute walk through beautiful nature takes you to the tranquil Gamat Bay and the Amok Sunset pool restaurant with excellent food and a dreamy view. The street to the homestay is scooter‑friendly (even for beginners). In 20 minutes you’re in the harbor town with many great beach and pool restaurants. All sights are also easily reachable by scooter (narrow, hilly roads, but doable with a bit of patience – just avoid the tourist crowds for more peace). The host is incredibly supportive, regularly bringing water, flexibly providing a scooter, and cleaning the room on request (very clean). I stayed for 3 weeks and kept extending because it was so cozy and everything great was so close – fantastic location. A note: geckos in the room are normal in tropical countries and even helpful because they eat mosquitoes and other pests. Small ants are also normal – they appear when you leave food around (even crumbs). So keep snacks in double plastic bags if you’re in the room. The bathroom ceiling needs renovation – you can see the age and moisture, which slightly lowers the value of the accommodation. When several bungalows are occupied, you hear the plumbing. Behind the bungalows is the Maua Hotel reception, where you often hear the buggy, and locals have a spot where, if they’re sitting, you hear them loudly in the bungalows (waking you up) and across the entire property – that was the most annoying because it didn’t fit the quiet surroundings. You’re in one of the airplane entry lanes and you hear a plane or two at night. The air‑conditioning is unusually loud. For me, the positives outweighed the negatives (every place has something like nearby construction, barking dogs, chickens, whatever), and I’ll definitely come back.

Everything matched the description and photos in the listing. It’s a calm, relaxing spot with a view of banana trees and the sea. Breakfast is served on the terrace – light but good. The owner is very welcoming and friendly, ready to help whenever you need it. Nothing to complain about; everything was perfect.

It’s remote from people. There’s a smell coming from the bathroom, but otherwise everything is fine.

The view is beautiful, the area is quiet, the atmosphere is private, and the host is helpful. The bathroom has poor ventilation, which leads to mold.
