“Ideaal verblijf”

The stay was pleasant and only about ten minutes from Cochem, with spacious rooms; we even received bus tickets for the surrounding villages, and breakfast was good and included as is customary in Germany. The Weingut Clemens is a few steps away and the wine merchant even has vineyards at the famous Cochem castle; we visited with my parents, 83 and 74, and it was very quiet there. The nearby restaurants were closed on certain days, but the hotel food was delicious.

The location is quiet and the staff are very friendly and helpful; the rain shower head was worn out, but the hand shower worked fine, and the mattress could be a bit firmer, which is a personal preference.

Breakfast was decent, a buffet that wasn’t overly extensive but offered something for everyone; the restaurant menu wasn’t very large but was of excellent quality. I expected more walking routes between the vineyards, though a bike was a plus; there are many wine barrels, so wine lovers will enjoy it, and the tourist spots were a bit too crowded, but the scenery is nice.

Getting a free bus ticket was a nice perk, but parking options were lacking.

The mattress was great, but the room was in disrepair, the cleanliness was poor, and the internet info was wrong; I took photos to prove it. The hotel was shabby and everything felt worn out, so I wouldn't recommend it for the price.
