“Not worth the money”

The grounds were beautiful and the forest walk looked good; the pool looked nice and the receptionists were very nice. The room had an odd smell, and locking the room used an old, confusing key. There were many small black unidentified flakes on the towels and spare pillow. The restaurant was super expensive for the poor food, and breakfast was bare minimum—toast was cooked on a barbecue—and you couldn’t ask for anything extra.

“Touched our soul”

Sometimes in life you stay somewhere that really connects deeply with you; this resort is incredible. I saw two wild orangutans in the resort over three days, one right above my lodge, and being surrounded by nature and wildlife like that is priceless. It’s also only a 10‑15 minute walk from the sun bear and orangutan sanctuary. If I had to pick one thing, I’d want one or two more options at breakfast, but that’s just being picky.

“Helpful staff and amazing wildlife around the resort.”

The staff were helpful and gladly arranged a rainforest tour for us that night. The room we booked looked great. The pool was just the right size for a nighttime swim after our night tour of the surrounding rainforest. We left early, so we didn't get breakfast the next morning. Nothing else was off.

The staff weren't always friendly. Once at breakfast, everything had to be requested at 9.00 am, even the plates. In the dining area, shoes had to be removed, but it wasn't very hygienic since everyone had to walk barefoot, especially with the food mess. The bread at breakfast was toasted on a coal BBQ, not modern.
