The host gave us detailed, patient information about public transport in and around Venice during check‑in, sold us the appropriate tickets (24‑h or 48‑h Venice cards), and explained how to get to Venice without a car (10 min walk to the bus, 30 min bus ride, and then ferry rides within Venice and to the nearby lagoon islands). Communication in English was very good.

I loved the peace and quiet and woke to a view of the garden with grapes; the breakfast was absolutely delicious and all homemade ❤️. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. We did walk about 8 minutes to Malcontenta, and there are no sidewalks, so you have to watch the traffic—this isn’t the B&B’s fault but something visitors should keep in mind.

The host was very welcoming, and the rooms and spaces smelled fresh and clean. We were given a mezzanine apartment with a view of the vineyard—beautiful.

Very clean and quiet after spending time in Florence and Rome. We never had a car, so getting him to town for supper was a problem.
