Spending a few days surrounded by green was a delight; the spot’s off‑the‑highway location is actually a plus because it lets you soak in the place without many distractions. The only downside was the huge number of flies, clearly linked to the farm animals around certain parts of the estate, which spoiled the nature immersion—rather than enjoying silence and birdsong, you just hear buzzing.

I loved being tucked away in a forest, away from everything. The distance to the reception and the white roads were sometimes hard to navigate.
