This lodge is amazing—when you’re ready to leave you’re already planning the next visit. The family running the lodge treats you like royalty and goes above and beyond your needs. Stephen, the game driver, makes the whole safari even better with his love for the animals and enthusiasm for the drives, giving you exactly the experience you pay for.

The staff were very friendly and the food was good. One lone guest, however, was extremely rude to the staff, speaking to them like children and making us uncomfortable. She seemed to hop from lodge to lodge, never satisfied, and the staff had to go above and beyond for the rest of us.

The toiletries were nice, the room was nice, and we saw the bush and game. However, the “All Inclusive” items weren’t explained at check‑in; the first menu appeared at checkout and we had to pay for items we didn’t know were excluded. The game driver was the worst we’ve ever had—he barely spoke, seemed to be driving us around as a favour to someone else, and spent almost an hour watching a barely visible cheetah behind a bush. Six other vehicles came and went while we sat idle; we would have seen more if he’d moved forward. He parked for his own view, not ours, and the drive only included two drinks, which was never enough for everyone. The coffee was terrible, full of floating grounds, and the breakfast lacked fresh juice—just a pale mixed fruit drink. Croissants were burned, not freshly baked, and there was no cheese with the dry toast and jam. On the second day we got cold toast with our eggs, and there were no condiments beyond salt and pepper. No sausage on the first morning; a single dry piece of streaky bacon was all we received. Poached eggs were wet, and the requested medium‑soft eggs came out hard as rubber, while the fried egg was medium. None of this matched what we asked for.

Our stay was unforgettable—delicious food, drinks, beautiful rooms, and the kindest staff. The game drives with Steven were the best, and the place felt magical and great value for money.
