The location is gorgeous, the old watermill sits right in the middle of the river, the host is very welcoming and cooks deliciously, giving a true B&B feel for a relaxing stay. I would have liked a shower so I wouldn't have to shower in a tiny bath.

An old mill on a small island in the Indre River, surrounded by a large idyllic park with goats, chickens, geese, and donkeys. The proximity to many Loire castles is perfect. The exterior shows a bit of patina, but inside it is flawlessly styled and spotlessly clean. The bed is large and comfortable with feather pillows, the bathroom is big. The host is very friendly and helpful, and for our first evening he booked a table at the restaurant “La Grotte” in Azay‑Le‑Rideau – it was excellent. The staff there was also nice and efficient. We would have liked to stay longer.

The setting is wonderful, the ambience created by Francoise, and the large windows in our room give picture‑perfect views of the water, trees, etc. I didn’t have a proper shower, though the bath was delightful. The toilet room was right next to my bed, and I was woken by neighbours flushing.

The place is magical, timeless and wonderful. The welcome is more than perfect, the breakfasts are delicious. I’m leaving.
