We paid for the room we wanted, but when we arrived the staff said it was full and we had to either wait or pay extra to upgrade. The money had already been taken from our card, yet other guests could still book the same room. Why does this happen?

nothing is good about this hotel.We were there for 2 room 5 of us inc toddler both rooms full off defect, cigarette smells. We decide to find another hotel and the reception promise to proceed with full refund since payment has been paid the property ( POA ). Yet till now they have not replied to about full refund. try to reach the property untill now they never respond
