I was really let down right from the start when the front desk handed me a room on the first night without any explanation, and I had to ask for a different one. They claimed it was the best they had available. When I finally settled in with my dog, the door kept swinging open and shut as other guests checked in, causing my dog to bark nonstop. Nearby kids were also banging on their doors, demanding things from the vehicle outside. I lowered my phone to rest, but a message came through telling me I couldn’t leave the property because my dog was barking. Then someone tried to open my door, and my dog barked again until I calmed her. I called the front desk to report the attempted entry, but the latch wouldn’t let me open the door. The staff insisted I had left the property and that was the reason they tried to get in. I was disappointed that the front desk would even attempt to enter my room instead of knocking. I don’t think I’ll ever stay here again.

“Overall a great stay!”

The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I needed them, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. The only downside was the pet fee of $100 a night for a week, which felt excessive for my four 10‑lb, well‑trained dogs. I believe the owner could have been more reasonable, perhaps offering a 75% refund after inspecting the room and confirming we were responsible pet owners with no special cleaning required.

“Probably won't stay here again”

The location was good, but the TV didn’t work and the staff seemed indifferent. Youth hockey teams were also quite obnoxious.

“Best value in Bottineau with comparable amenities to other hotels in Bottineau”

It was very quiet, comfortable, warm, and convenient. The value was great—$50 less than a comparable hotel in Bottineau—and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
