“זה לא צימר!”

The place isn’t a proper guesthouse; it’s just a private house with residents living there. Nothing says anywhere that it’s a religious site or that I must park outside the settlement. Walking with all my bags to leave the settlement was a hassle. We brought food to grill, only to find out we couldn’t use any fire. There was no way to cook in that apartment, and our food was meant for a barbecue.

The unit is right next to neighbors, just 2 m away, and you can find something like this everywhere in Haifa or Karit, only a third of the price. After paying, I was told I couldn’t park inside the settlement, only outside the gate, and I couldn’t light a grill (I can’t believe I agreed to that). And of course, no noise or music, because the neighbors are right next to you, a kiss‑distance, and they keep Shabbat. There was no need to hide this; it could have been listed as restrictions (though maybe that’s required). Try renting the unit as a dwelling unit to avoid future complaints.
