The stay in historic Barolo was superb: CasaCastello was spotless and modern, the wellness suite had plenty of space including a deep soaking tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of wine‑country trekking; the bed and pillows were comfy, two mini‑splits kept the room cool, there was a tea and coffee maker for mornings and a small cooler for beer and wine; it was just steps from the wine museum, wine shops, and several great restaurants; the hosts were very communicative and easy to work with; you need to park in public parking and walk uphill 5‑7 minutes, which may be tough for those with mobility issues but was fine for us; Barolo was charming and the place was an exceptional stay, we would definitely rent here again. Nothing was lacking.

Spacious and clean, but it was a pity there was no duvet on the bed—just a sheet.

A cool, trendy spot in a prime location with a nice bed and a lovely breakfast on the balcony, though the lighting is too harsh and a bit warmer bulbs would make it cozier.
