The hostess was genuinely kind and helpful, pointing out hidden local gems. Though she wasn’t fluent in English, she went out of her way to make us feel at ease. The location was outstanding, surrounded by nature and mountains.

The breakfast was good, the location superb with a beautiful view (our room had a small terrace overlooking the Karwendelspitze), and the host was very friendly and helpful. Nothing negative.

If you’re after relaxation, warm hospitality, and top‑class breakfast, Bäckeralm is spot on! The view from above Schmalensee, overlooking the Karwendel mountains, is simply breathtaking. The daily breakfast is a real highlight—every bite shows love in the preparation. The range of fresh pastries and regional specialties is fantastic and leaves no desire unmet. Huge thanks to the wonderful hosts for the warm atmosphere and great tips. We felt at home from the first minute and will definitely return! Everything was perfect.
