“A Charming Rural Retreat with Some Minor Drawbacks”
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "Douglas", which was a lovely surprise to have been left eggs for breakfast! The location was truly out of the city context, and we had a wonderful experience in nature, listening to the birds singing in the field. It was a great experience! However, the distance from the car to the "Douglas" was quite large, especially on a rainy day, and it would have been better to park closer.

I've had the pleasure of staying at this lovely getaway twice, and it never fails to delight. The picturesque location in nature is perfect for a retreat, and the accommodations have everything you need. I appreciate the thoughtful touch of locally sourced milk, eggs, and produce upon arrival. However, on our warm weekend visits, the cab can get a bit hot, requiring open windows and doors at night.
Very peaceful and relaxing. Fresh milk & eggs were left for us, which was a lovely touch. Love the outdoor seating areas, especially the swingsy chair. The bed was very comfortable. The whole place was quirky and cute!. A couple of windows had no blinds and the sun started to rise at 4am. It was very bright very early

I had a unique experience here and I'm eager to return in the summer to fully appreciate its beauty. I enjoyed the simplicity of the accommodations, but I did notice a few practical issues. The rainy weather revealed a limitation - there was only one hook for hanging coats, which wasn't enough. Additionally, I missed having a standard plug socket, as my phone charger requires a traditional plug.
