“Jammee vergane glorie mer zoveel potentieel”
The place would have been gorgeous if more care had been taken for the grounds; the weather was lovely, and the room itself was nice with a good interior, bathroom, and separate toilet. I never saw any staff except at the end when paying. The interior was always dusty, with cobwebs, and the pool area was also neglected, with chairs scattered around and a sad, cluttered look. With a bit of love it could be a beautiful estate; it once won an award in 2014, so it has potential. The man who welcomed us was also a tenant of part of the house and a retired doctor. He took the time to bring a Haagschaar so we could see the Rhône from the room, cleaned an outdoor table and surrounding chairs, and provided a parasol. The stay was fine for a few days as we could see it from the inside. (Thanks to Dominique, the man.)
