“Was ok as a pub but rooms need upgrades”
The spot was great, but the bed felt subpar and the room could use a thorough cleaning.

The staff were friendly and helpful, though the building itself was shabby; at least the place stayed spotless.

Everything matched our expectations: a warm, friendly owner, a simple room, excellent value and very comfortable.

We were close to our evening venue and the canal, but the room and bathroom need a makeover—wallpaper is peeling, the bathroom door sticks to the floor, the cold tap is loose, the shower only works when you place a shower‑gel bottle cap to hold the plunger up, and there’s no hairdryer.
