The location was beautiful, tucked into a restricted area right on Media Luna Bay’s beach, but it was invaded by sargassum, which would have made it fantastic otherwise. Inside, the rooms were clearly old and in need of renovation, especially since the exterior is so lovely.

“Nice place, short on kitchen set up.”

The view was outstanding and very few bugs!. I have stayed at places with kitchen facilities and this place had th fewest dishes/glasses/cups. So if there are 4 dishes, there should be at least 4 of everything else, plates, bowls, small plates, big bowls and water glasses, drink glasses, wine glasses, dessert plates. All of it. Inadequate here

The place is modest, the air conditioning works well, and they let us borrow bicycles that, although heavily rusted, let us get to Akumal without a car. The beach is clogged with sargassum, apparently not cleaned for months, producing a strong odor. The sargassum is natural, but they could try to clean it so we could enjoy the sand and the hammocks; otherwise bathing feels uncomfortable. It gives off a sense of neglect and a reluctance to clean up, which is very unpleasant.

Clean, hassle‑free, friendly, spacious rooms. The door locks are US‑style, a bit awkward and insecure. The hotel can’t do anything about the algae.

Privacy is good. Unfortunately the smell of seaweed makes it impossible to go into the sea or use the beach.
