“Hotel de toda la vida remodelado”
I had known this hotel for a few years, and it’s now completely renovated—or at least a large portion of the rooms has been updated, so they look completely different. The bed is very comfortable, the temperature is just right, and the air‑conditioning system works really well. It’s a traditional establishment run by a family for several generations, which is something to appreciate. There’s also a free parking area right in front of the hotel. The renovation effort was impressive, but the space is still a bit tight when opening the wardrobe, for example; it’s not a big deal if you shift the beds and bedside tables a little. During the bathroom remodel they seemed to focus on maximizing shower space, leaving very little room for the toilet, which feels cramped and could be uncomfortable for taller or heavier guests. Another point that bothered me was that the reception is located at the back of the bar entrance, so you have to wait for staff to come out and inform the bartenders, and the hotel’s own café extends over the reception entrance, creating a large terrace area that’s always crowded. Anyway, those are minor details.
