The stay was pleasant, the staff helpful, and many issues from older reviews were fixed. I stayed from 15‑20 August 2026 in a Double Deluxe room with a king bed and a shower. The location is ideal—central, quiet, with many restaurants nearby, weekend night markets, a great sea view, and the staff are very accommodating. The pool is small but nice, and the area is perfect for day trips; renting a scooter is recommended (parking is safe on the other side). Yes, there are monkeys. The room was clean and cozy, the balcony furniture was freshly painted, but be careful of the monkeys that jump on the roof and look for food on the terrace. The terrace door has a good lock—use it. The bed is fairly firm, which works for me. Daily housekeeping kept everything tidy, and the hotel environment was well maintained. Breakfast was a la carte with good coffee or juice; I tried everything, but avocado toast was the best, and I was even offered iced coffee on request. The restaurant and bar with a view were very good, and tap water was available in the hallways. The only improvement needed: water from the air conditioner drips onto the floor in the bathroom, keeping the floor constantly wet—adding a hose would solve it.

The staff are adorable and the location is great. The rooms are poorly insulated, lack ventilation leading to mold everywhere, and the sheets aren't very clean.
