The welcome staff were friendly and gave us useful tips about the city and its carnival, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the bed felt ancient—like a wooden pallet—and was far from comfortable. A charming stay marred by a crappy mattress.

The people working there are genuinely attentive and pleasant, and the resident cats are adorable without wandering into the rooms. The hostel sits in a handy spot and even offers a closed motorcycle parking area, which is a plus. On the downside, being a newer place it still needs some basic fixes—better cleaning routines, more shelves in the kitchen, and a bit more style. Soundproofing is also lacking, so you’ll hear everything around you.

The room was cheap, clean, and gave off a homey vibe, which was exactly what I wanted. It’s also right in the city center and has a nice patio, though the central location can get a bit busy. Overall, a solid budget option with a friendly feel.
