I made good friends there, the location was decent, and the staff were nice. We avoided showering because it was very smelly and felt even dirtier afterward. Mosquitoes were a problem and the rooms were hot to sleep in.

I had a nightmare. The beds were extremely hard, and there was a pond in the garden with no water circulation that kept breeding mosquitoes everywhere, even in the rooms, so I couldn't sleep at all. The owner was away and the staff didn’t speak English or help; when I called the owner he blamed me for giving him my Dutch number instead of a Thai one and said he couldn’t help. The place and rooms are very old and not that clean.

Chris and his wife were great hosts. The bungalow was super, the dorm was simple but fair for the price. The location in front of the beautiful beach is fantastic, and you can rent a scooter at the usual price to explore the island comfortably.

I really liked the location, just 100 m from the beach. The staff and common areas were 10/10, and the breakfasts at the hostel were delicious. I’d come back, but this time I’d stay in a private room. It would be nice to add curtains to the dorm beds for a bit more privacy. The women’s bathroom had a plumbing issue—water leaked and it always smelled.
