“Location was excellent. Lack of communication.”
I stayed for 3 nights and found the experience quite disappointing. The shower’s hot‑water temperature control was broken; I reported it on day one, and someone checked it once, but it was never fixed. The water was so hot it nearly scalded my scalp, making showering uncomfortable. I had asked well before my stay whether the room I booked was the easiest to access with the fewest stairs, but received no reply. I only got a response a day before arrival, after I had already confirmed my booking, so I couldn’t change it. The room assigned to me was in the basement. Photos in reviews suggested it could be reached directly from outside, which was why I chose it, but in reality I had to carry luggage up to the first floor and then back down almost 20 steps to reach the room, which was exhausting with heavy bags. Had the hotel answered earlier, I could have chosen differently. On the bright side, the staff helped carry my luggage up the stairs when I checked out, which I appreciated. Overall, the lack of communication and the unresolved shower issue made the stay much harder than it should have been.
