Everything you could need was basically there, the room was cool and comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. The only downside was that the curtains weren’t fully blackout, so I’d recommend bringing an eye mask if you’re sensitive to light.

This hotel is stunning – a large 19th‑century building fully restored in style that creates a picturesque setting. The room on the first floor is accessed via a monumental staircase and a spacious, atmospheric balcony where you can have tea or coffee and sit comfortably. The room itself is styled in the same manner, with good beds, a nice view, lighting and décor all in harmony. Unfortunately we were unlucky to stay on a day when the restaurant was closed, so the reputation of the place couldn’t be fulfilled. The couple who run it had the wife as the chef, who was absent, and the husband served a decent breakfast in the morning – but nothing stood out culinary. Additionally, the shower and toilet in the room were installed in a somewhat improvised way – everything worked, but it lacked the luxury and comfort that the hotel and room normally offer.
