“Non torneremo sicuramente.”
The place was cozy and well kept, the room was clean, and there was ample private parking. The owner was reachable by phone. My stay was only one night, so I chose a B&B to have all the necessary comforts for at least one night. As soon as we arrived, we couldn’t even take a shower because the shower head was broken. We asked for help from the host, who sent a handyman who replied, “the shower is indeed broken, deal with it today, I’ll fix it tomorrow.” After that absurdity and our insistence, the pipe was replaced with another broken one that was present in other rooms, but at least we could wash. There was no shampoo or shower soap! We had to wash with the hand soap that was available. The blinds were broken, letting light in in the morning. The worst part was the mosquito infestation. About ten mosquitoes attacked us at night; we spent the night restless trying to repel them, and unfortunately we got bitten. It was impossible to sleep unless we were completely hidden under the blankets. We wanted to leave at 4 am! Never again.
