We enjoyed a lovely stay, having the place all to ourselves in a quiet, peaceful setting. Check‑in was hassle‑free, and the host pointed us toward a local izakaya that was delicious and just a short walk away. The property sits in a charming, tranquil castle town. The accommodation was clean and serene, and the host provided a variety of breakfast options along with a nice selection of coffees and teas. All in all, we had a great experience and would definitely return.

“Cool~~~~”

We stayed here for one night with our little son, and it became one of the most memorable moments of our trip to Japan. Akizuki was even more beautiful and peaceful than we had imagined. Walking through the quiet streets, surrounded by old houses and nature, felt like discovering a small piece of Japan that time had gently left behind. Staying in this beautiful old Japanese house made the experience even more special. Although the house has a long history, it was very clean and comfortable, and our host welcomed our family with such warmth and kindness. The next morning, we took a slow walk through Akizuki with our son. It was quiet, peaceful, and beautiful — one of those simple moments that somehow stays in your memory for a long time. One small thing to keep in mind is that many restaurants in the area close early in the evening, so it is a good idea to plan dinner in advance. Having a car also makes visiting Akizuki much easier. But perhaps that quietness and slight inconvenience are part of what makes this place so charming. We came here simply looking for a place to stay, but we left with a beautiful memory of Akizuki. Only one couple stayed, so it was quiet. Opening the window attached to the bath revealed a barn.

Everything was amazing! We were greeted warmly, and the host had arranged breakfast for us to make the next morning in a very charming kitchen. The house was lovely and we would definitely love to return.
